Firstly, to get into the Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta, fans will need to pre-order the game. Anyone that pre-orders between now and the closed beta’s March 28 start date (March 27 in the Americas, UK, Europe, and Middle East) should get access. Now, the exact start and end times for each Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta player will depend on their region.

Ed Boon has released an image that shows Mortal Kombat 11 players in all regions the start and end dates/times for the closed beta in their area. For those in the Americas, the Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta start date is Wednesday, March 27 at 8:00am PST, and the end date is March 31 at 11:59pm PST. It’s certainly possible that NetherRealm will extend the closed beta end date, as tends to happen with video game betas, but that remains to be seen. It’s also possible fans will be treated to a surprise open beta, but for now, the only guaranteed way to play the Mortal Kombat 11 beta is by pre-ordering.

Pre-ordering Mortal Kombat 11 comes with some other bonuses besides just access to next week’s closed beta. Those that pre-order Mortal Kombat 11 will also get their hands on the popular character Shao Kahn, which combined with closed beta access, could very well be enough incentive for fans to purchase the game early.

Those who can wait to pick up Mortal Kombat 11 will still have an extensive roster of fighters to look forward to, including series favorites like Scorpion and newcomers like Geras. However, they will miss out on trying the game’s closed beta when it starts next week on March 27 or 28 (depending on region).

Mortal Kombat 11 launches April 23 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
