The first step to getting the Dragon Amulet in Mortal Kombat 11’s Krypt is finishing the Towers of Time tutorial to get the Amulet of Earthrealm’s Protector. The Towers of Time are one of the main ways players can earn currency to spend in the Krypt, so it’s important that players visit the Towers of Time anyway. We recommend players stay with the Towers of Time until they’ve collected a hefty chunk of change, as a lot of money is required to unlock most of the content in the Krypt.
Once the Towers of Time tutorial is completed and the Amulet of Earthrealm’s Protector has been obtained, Mortal Kombat 11 players can head to the Krypt and begin their search for the Dragon Amulet proper.
1. Thunder God’s Shattered Staff
We recommend Mortal Kombat 11 players open up as much of the Krypt as they can before they start looking for the Dragon Amulet, as well as familiarize themselves with its various locations.
At any rate, the first place they will want to visit is the Warrior Shrine. On their first visit, a meteorite will destroy the Raiden statue here. Approach the destroyed statue and use the Amulet of Earthrealm’s Protector to get the Thunder God’s Shattered Staff.
2. Dragon Amulet Chest
The next step is to collect at least one Skeleton Key from the Krypt, which are found in chests that range from 5,000 to 7,000 Koins. Then head to Goro’s Dining Hall, and upon entering the room, immediately take the path to the left. Open the locked door using the Skeleton Key, and then follow the hall down until prompted to use the Thunder God’s Shattered Staff to proceed further.
Continue on this path to reach Goro’s Fortress, and inside here, past the traps on the left, is a chest that costs a whopping 20,000 Koins to open. Unlike most of the chests in the Mortal Kombat 11 Krypt, this chest does not have randomized contents, and it will always give the player the Dragon Amulet they need to unlock the Dragon Amulet door.
Spend the 20,000 Koins, unlock the chest, and collect the Dragon Amulet.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
