For those not in the know, an Animality is a special Fatality that turns the player into an animal to maul the opponent. It first originated in Mortal Kombat 3 and has only appeared a few times since, but with Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon recently teasing the return of Babalities, this feature seems all but confirmed by this leaked list.

It’s also worth adding that these previous entries often required players to give a Mercy before performing, which are also returning according to this leak. The trophy is titled “Total Disrespect” and requires players to defeat an opponent as Bug-Vorah, an obvious play on words of D’Vorah.

There are several reasons that D’Vorah could be getting the Mortal Kombat 11 special trophy. First, it could be because of D’Vorah’s already bug-like nature that lends itself to the creation of an Animality, giving her a special call out for it. Or it could be that creating secondary character models is expensive, so she could be the one of few, if not the only, character receiving this special move. This has been hinted at in the past, as even baby forms for the Babalities were said to be a lot.

On the other hand, it could be something entirely different altogether. That would beg the question as to why it receives a special trophy, depending on the nature of what Bug-Vorah actually is. Until that is confirmed, however, this Mortal Kombat 11 trophy seemingly fits in with the return of Animalities as a finisher.

Of course, while there is a lot of returning features for Mortal Kombat 11, there is a lot of new content coming too. This includes Geras, the new Time- and Sand-based Fighter, and Mortal Kombat 11’s recently revealed Cetrion, who appears to have powers based on natural elements.

Mortal Kombat 11 releases April 23, 2019, on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
