However, many have wondered what time exactly they will finally get to play as Spawn, with NetherRealm remaining fairly tight-lipped surrounding when eager Mortal Kombat fans will have the character unlocked. Thanks to the Warner Bros support team, it seems fans finally have the answer, with Spawn’s release time supposedly coming at 10 am PT.

By extension, that means the character will release at 1 PM ET. It seems Kombat Pack owners won’t have to wait long to finally get their hands on Spawn, with the character making his way to the game in a mere matter of hours. However, for fans who don’t own the Kombat Pack, Spawn will be available in a week’s time, with the fighter releasing to other players on March 24. It’s hardly a long time to wait, however, for those who wish to get their hands on the fearsome anti-hero earlier, there’s evidently a lot of merit in being able to play as the roster’s newest member early.
It seems he’ll be a great character to get hands-on time with, especially for those aware of his comic book and movie history, with Spawn’s brutalities, fatalities, skins, combos, and more all feeling incredibly authentic to the character. Not only can he brandish guns, swords, and chains, but his fatal blow sees him summon demonic hands from the floor to rip his foes apart. His fatalities are also unsurprisingly brutal, with one seeing the comic book character wrap his foe in chains, squeeze them to a bloody pulp, and then burn their skin off using demonic powers.
Of course, many don’t expect Spawn to be the final DLC fighter making his way to Moral Kombat 11. Rumors have indicated that fans are likely to see a second Kombat Pack make its way to the game in the coming year, including names like Ash from Evil Dead and Halloween’s Mike Myers, as well as classic franchise staples like Sheeva and Fujin. With Ed Boon claiming there are more surprises on the way for Mortal Kombat 11, it wouldn’t be out of the question to imagine a second Kombat Pack is on the horizon.
Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
