Johnny Joestar is the main protagonist of Steel Ball Run and Gyro Zeppeli is his main aide. The two met at the very beginning of the series and within a few chapters, the two became a duo. However, this was just the beginning of their friendship. The two of them inspired each other in ways that no one else could.
