RELATED: My Hero Academia: Things We Hope To See In Season 6
All the Quirks in My Hero Academia are known to be unique and regardless of how strong they are, they certainly make the user powerful or useful. However, while some are just average, other Quirks in MHA are extremely overpowered.
Updated by Rei Penber on January 31, 2023:My Hero Academia is closing on its end now, and with that come the strongest of enemies in the story, faced by the very beloved Heroes at their strongest. Quirks are central to the story of My Hero Academia and as the story continued towards its end, fans have been treated to some incredibly overpowered ones. While this list already consists of some of the most overpowered Quirks to have existed in the world of My Hero Academia, some new ones have, since then, been introduced, and others have evolved to a level where they can be considered overpowered as well.
13 Blueflame
Blueflame is the Quirk of none other than Dabi of the Paranormal Liberation Front. As fans know, Dabi is the son of Endeavor and just like his Hellflame Quirk, Blueflame is also one that lets Dabi produce and manipulate flames. However, in his case, these flames are blue and much more powerful.
In terms of destructive capability, Dabi’s Quirk surpasses that of Endeavor with rather ease. In fact, its power even surpasses that of Shoto Todoroki’s Half-Cold Half-Hot. One downside of this power is that it also hurts Dabi while he uses it. However, for a man as determined as him, this is barely a problem.
12 Warp Gate
Warp Gate might not appear to be the strongest of Quirks in My Hero Academia, but it absolutely is. Its importance to the plans of the League of Villains, now known as the Paranormal Liberation Front, is paramount. This Quirk allows the user to warp themselves and anyone they are in contact with to a particular place. In the Final War saga, Kurogiri finally awoke from his slumber and it was proven then that this Quirk holds magnificent power and is key to letting the Paranormal Liberation Front triumph over the Heroes.
With its powers, Kurogiri was able to assemble the entirety of the Paranormal Liberation Front together in an attempt to overpower and defeat the Heroes once and for all. While the plan will most certainly fail at the end of the day, that doesn’t take away from how incredible this Quirk truly is.
11 Transform
Transform is the Quirk of Himiko Toga of the Paranormal Liberation Front. This Quirk allows her to take the appearance of anyone whose blood she ingests. As long as the blood stays within her body, she can take their appearance. While the base form of this Quirk wasn’t all that dangerous, in the Meta Liberation War arc, she awoke the true powers of the transform Quirk.
RELATED: My Hero Academia: The Parallels Between Shigaraki And DabiAfter consuming someone’s blood, Toga also gains access to their Quirk. This makes her one of the most dangerous people in the world of My Hero Academia. Recently, in the Final War saga, Toga was seen taking the appearance of Twice and using his Quirk to make infinite clones in an attempt to defeat the Heroes in the final war.
10 Overhaul
Overhaul was the Quirk of one of the strongest people in My Hero Academia, Kai Chisaki, also known as Overhaul. Chisaki led the Shie Hassaikai and as their leader, he possessed tremendous strength.
Chisaki was extremely powerful thanks to his Quirk which allowed him to disassemble and reassemble anything that he wished with his palms, giving him absolute control over matter. With a single touch, he could kill anyone with ease.
9 Hellflame
Hellflame is the Quirk of the current Number One Hero, Endeavor. This Quirk is quite powerful as it allows Endeavor to produce and freely manipulate high-temperature flames. At its maximum power, Hellflame can prove to be lethal for almost anyone in My Hero Academia.
What’s more, in certain instances, Endeavor can push beyond all the limits of his Quirk, unlocking unprecedented power in the process. This was seen when Endeavor fought Hood and destroyed him by going beyond his limits and delivering the final blow with Prominence Burn.
8 One For All
Yet another incredibly powerful Quirk, One For All is up there with All For One as one of the strongest ones in the story, if not the strongest. One For All allows the user to stockpile incredible amounts of raw power and then unleash it all at once.
One For All also boosts the user massively, and although this might sound like a rather average ability on paper, it is extremely overpowered in practice. Using this power, All Might was able to become the Number One Hero, and Deku is well on his way to following in his idol’s footsteps.
7 All For One
All For One is, quite possibly, the strongest Quirk there is in My Hero Academia. It was formerly wielded by All For One and is currently in Shigaraki Tomura’s possession.

All For One allows the user to steal anyone’s Quirk at will and even distribute the stolen powers among people. It is quite easy to tell that this Quirk is extremely overpowered and under Shigaraki Tomura, All For One can grow even stronger than it already is.
6 Permeation
Permeation is Mirio Togata’s Quirk and it is fundamentally different from all the other Quirks on this list. Inherently, this Quirk is far from overpowered. In fact, under normal circumstances, it could actually hinder the user in their day-to-day life as it makes their body phase through everything when activated.
However, Mirio trained incredibly hard and unlocked the maximum potential of this Quirk, making him almost invincible in battle. If used right, Permeation is incredibly powerful and difficult to counter.
5 Rewind
Eri’s Rewind Quirk is an incredibly useful ability that allows her to revert things to a previous state. This ability is quite amazing as it can rewind people’s bodies to a state where they didn’t have Quirks or even out of existence entirely.
This Quirk is certainly hard for Eri to control at the moment, however, it remains one of the best powers in My Hero Academia. Once Eri becomes more familiar with the ability, Rewind is the type of Quirk that could change the world.
4 Decay
Shigaraki Tomura’s Decay is exceptionally powerful, especially after it awakened. As the name suggests, this Quirk allows him to disintegrate anything with a mere touch, which just goes to show that it has tremendous destructive power.

A second of contact with Shigaraki is enough to completely defeat anyone. As he now also has All For One, Shigaraki has become incredibly dangerous and overpowered.
3 Explosion
Bakugo Katsuki’s Explosion Quirk might not be the strongest one on here, but it certainly is very overpowered. It allows him to produce nitroglycerin from his palms and then ignite it to create large-scale explosions.
While it doesn’t look like it is all that special, the fact that Explosion can, more or less, keep up with the power boost offered by One For All is incredible in itself. It goes to show that this Quirk is much more than the name makes it out to be.
2 Half-Cold Half-Hot
Endeavor’s youngest son, Shoto possesses an incredibly powerful Quirk called Half-Cold Half-Hot. As the name suggests, this Quirk allows him to control both fire and ice, making it extremely powerful.
From his left side, Shoto can use high-temperature flames just like Endeavor, and from his right, he can use ice. Since Shoto has ice to counterbalance fire, he has a much higher potential than Endeavor and can even surpass All Might.
1 New Order
New Order is quite easily one of the most overpowered Quirks to appear in My Hero Academia so far. It was formerly wielded by the Number 1 Pro Hero of the United States of America, Star and Stripe. With this ability, she could essentially redefine what a Quirk can and can’t do.
New Order allowed Cathleen Bate to set a rule to her surroundings and manipulate it accordingly to her will. Star and Stripe could set new rules on her own body, giving herself new abilities, or even do the same on the people she faced in battle, making things incredibly hard for them.
