Obviously, not every satisfying Trophy on PlayStation has to be hard. Sometimes, completing a lengthy grind can have a satisfying payoff, as players can proudly point to all the work that they did to unlock the achievement. Other tasks can just be particularly fun to work on, making for an enjoyable Trophy hunting process and not just a feeling of relief.

Satisfying Trophies in October 2022’s PS Plus Games

Injustice 2 was the headliner for the October 2022 PS Plus lineup, and while many may be engrossed in the November games by now, it could be worth going back to the Netherrealm title for a few Trophies. Considering how great the DC fighting game is, getting every character to level 20 could be a lot more fun than tedious, as “Master of All Trades” pushes gamers to spend a lot of time with every member on the roster.

However, there are some satisfying Trophies to work on beyond “Master of all Trades.” For instance, “Pulling Overtime” sees players finishing 100 Multiverse events, which are interesting ladders with unique fights and difficulty levels. For those tired of doing basic 1v1s or replaying Injustice 2’s story, grinding through the Multiverse content could be a welcome change of pace. Additionally, performing every Super Move for “Feeling Super” is a low effort task that is very satisfying to accomplish, as players can get a look at all the effort Netherrealm put into the game’s animations.

Though it had numerous funny Trophies to go for, Superhot is also worth a shoutout when it comes to satisfying Trophies. “Stand REDy” and “Get REDy” ask players to master the game’s speedrun challenges, with players needing the red ending on each level, so unlocking them will surely lead to a sense of accomplishment. “Ratatatata!” is another enjoyable Trophy, as killing three Red Dudes with one burst from the rifle is guaranteed to feel good. Cutting a bullet and shooting down a bullet are two other simple and satisfying tasks.

The final essential PS Plus game for October, Hot Wheels Unleashed, has a couple rewarding Trophies worth mentioning. “I want ‘em all” for getting all the secret Rarity vehicles rewards thoroughness and hard work, while “King of the City” pops once players finish the Unleashed Goal for all events - a time-consuming endeavor.

Satisfying Trophies in October 2022’s New Releases

As for new releases, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Overwatch 2 have the most rewarding Trophies to hunt. Starting with the former, completing all the campaign missions on Veteran for “Cutting Heads off Snakes” will obviously be fullfilling. However, a unique task that makes for an enjoyable hunt is “Don’t touch the deck!,” as players need to hop across crates on a ship without touching the ground. Since enemies attack from all angles, this makes for a fun challenge.

Two stealth-related Trophies from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign are worth mentioning, too. “Ghost in Training” tasks players with sneaking through a Cartel-filled compound without being caught or killing anyone, and “Nobody was There” has players getting through the Recon by Fire mission without triggering an alarm. “Must be the Wind” is fun and simple, as it sees players perfectly clearing the rappel section in Countdown, while “Gunless” sees gamers beating Alone using only improvised weapons. Lastly, speeding through the CCTV section for “No Time To Lose” can be tough, so finishing it guarantees a feeing of satisfaction.

As for Overwatch 2, it is in a unique position where gamers will be proud to have earned almost every Trophy on the list. Aside from basic tasks like playing with a friend for “The Friend Zone” and winning 100 games for “Centenary,” the list asks players to master Overwatch 2’s heroes. Each hero gets two dedicated achievements, and a vast majority take a combination of luck and skill to pull off. As such, PlayStation fans that manage to get the Platinum without boosting deserve a tremendous amount of praise.
